Book a Fairbanks Equestrian Scenic River Trail Ride!
Our scenic river trail rides are $70 per person plus 13% HST for all ages. Please choose a date, time and number of riders in the reservation. Then please select AGE category and EXPERIENCE LEVEL for ALL riders in your group so that we have appropriate horses available for your group (****these fields are REQUIRED in order to check out so if you have ZERO riders in any age category please select ZERO or you will not be directed to the checkout page****). Please choose Beginner for any rider that is either a first timer/very little riding experience, nervous, or preferring a slower paced ride. Choose Experienced for riders that have ridden many times and are comfortable trotting and/or cantering. **PLEASE NOTE** – while we are happy to try to accommodate experienced riders that would like a faster paced ride whenever possible, including trotting and cantering, in a mixed group of riders we must cater to the least experienced riders in the group in order to keep everyone safe and at their comfort level. If you wish a faster paced ride for only your group please inquire about booking a private ride time for a minimum party of three riders.
Our longer scenic RIVER trail rides are a approximately one hour in length, variable according to the pace of the ride, and include our exciting Fairbanks River crossing! This ride is suitable for children and adults that have ridden before or are confident that they are up to a longer ride and riding through the river portion of the ride. There is also the opportunity to trot or occasionally canter on this ride (only if the entire group is capable of doing so). If you or your child have never ridden, or are particularly nervous, prone to anxiety, or you are just not sure how your child will react to being on a horse, please choose our shorter beginner’s trail ride, which also includes a short riding lesson, for your first time visit. Please arrive 20 minutes sharp prior to your scheduled ride time (earlier is not preferred as our staff may be out on another ride) and plan to allow about 1.5 hours from arrival to return from your ride in order to allow time for signing the required insurance waivers, selecting a helmet, mounting your horse and having your saddle adjusted to fit you properly. Basic instruction is given to the group before departing on the ride. All participants must sign a liability waiver (parent or guardian must sign for minors) and wear an approved riding helmet. Helmets are provided or bring your own. Footwear should have a small heel, no open toed shoes or sandals allowed for safety reasons.
***PLEASE NOTE – if you are more than 10 minutes late the ride will have to leave without you if there are other riders on the same ride and no refund will be given.
Riders must be 8 years of age and up, with a maximum weight of 250 lbs. Double riding with young children is not permitted for safety reasons. Children must be confident enough to control their own horse and ride independently, regardless of age, so we ask parents to please assess their child’s confidence level and desire to ride prior to booking. No refunds will be given for any riders that choose not to participate after arrival or wishing to not complete the full ride. For children under the age of 8 or not confident enough for the full trail ride we also offer pony rides on the farm as well as riding lessons and summer riding camps.
